Do I need to buy new hardware?+
Usually not. V-POS runs in a modern browser and works with supported computers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and receipt printers. Review the hardware guide before relying on an existing device.
What happens if my internet goes down?+
V-POS requires a reliable internet connection for checkout and live store updates. If the connection drops, restore it before completing sales; a backup connection such as a mobile hotspot can reduce downtime.
Can I use my existing payment processor?+
V-POS can record card payments completed on a separate external terminal, so the POS software does not require you to replace that terminal. Confirm compatibility and commercial terms with your processor.
Is my data locked in?+
Eligible business records can be exported from V-POS. Available exports depend on the record type and your access permissions.
What happens after the 30-day trial?+
Choose a paid Core, Plus, or Scale subscription to keep using the selected plan. The trial does not require a credit card when you start.
Is V-POS secure without SOC 2?+
V-POS uses access controls, secured workspaces, and Stripe-hosted subscription billing, but Vyom Inc. does not currently claim SOC 2 or PCI DSS certification. The security page explains the current controls and boundaries.
How long does setup take?+
You can create a workspace in minutes. Product imports, receipt-printer setup, and staff training depend on the size and complexity of your store.
Can I switch from Square or Lightspeed?+
Yes. You can evaluate V-POS in the live demo, export data from your current provider where available, and import supported product data before changing your checkout workflow.
